Polar Bear Odyssey Opening at Como Zoo – Neil and Buzz Return Home

Polar Bear Odyssey, after years of construction and millions of dollars spent is finally reading for its grand opening and Como Zoo are putting on a MASSIVE weekend to celebrate.

Here are a list of all that is going on in Minnesota over the next four days!

Grand Opening Celebration
June 3 – 6

Welcome Buzz and Neil into their NEW state-of-the-art habitat.  Watch the Polar Bears dive into their pools, swim in the water and forage for treats.  Buzz and Neil are looking forward to see their fans! Many fun activities are planned for the entire weekend; check out schedule below.

New Birdseye Ads Featuring Polar Bears (Sort of)!

Birdseye have a series of new ads featuring one of the worst looking polar bears (one of our pet hates!!!). Where is his long nose – look more like a white teddy! (Breathe, Breathe). Anyway, enjoy these ads!

Here is a very cool video featuring the artist that made the Lego Polar Bear – Sean Kenney. It’s from a television show called “New York Wave” and mostly is in Japanese but has English sub-titles. The feature about building the polar bear starts about half way through this twenty minute clip.

95 000 Piece Lego Polar Bear to Feature at Philadelphia Zoo

Renowned Lego artist, Sean Kenney http://www.seankenney.com/ will unveil his three month project at the Philapdelphia Zoo from April 10 to October 31,  a polar bear sculpture made from 95 000 Lego Pieces. It is part of the “Creatures of Habitat” exhibition at the Zoo, a novel way to promote conservation of numerous animal species and their habitats.
